Hi, have you ever felt like God was telling you to do something but you just weren’t sure? Then, you pray about it and feel like you should do something but you don’t feel qualified or even know where to start? Well, my friend, that’s how this blog came about. But, the thing is, I’m a year behind in my obedience to what I felt like God was telling me to do (as I’m writing this it’s September 2018). And, as someone once said (sorry, I can’t remember who), “to delay is to disobey…” I wasn’t intentionally trying to disobey God… it sort of just happened as time passed. Before I knew it a year had gone by; and, then I began reading this book by Mark Batterson called, “The Circle Maker” (Awesome book!). I was reminded about my prompting to start this blog and within a week or so it began. So, there it is my friend… the reason for this blog. I’m gloriously confounded on where to even begin and trusting in Jesus on what to write along this adventure. I also want to be upfront and mention something that I feel is important; I’ll be using a pen name in my blog and will also be changing the names of anyone that I refer to for privacy reasons. So, let me introduce myself as Penelope. I can’t wait to see where this is going to go! I’m waiting expectantly on God (for a few things) and will explain that and the reason for the name of my blog in my first post.
Psalm 5:3 “In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly” (NIV).
God Bless,
Penelope G.
Ps* Start at the beginning, which actually means starting at the last page and working your way forward! Also, for the sake of transparency, I’m not the girl that is pictured in areas on this site – she just came with the template!
